Shane was a hypocrite because he knows this is a bad idea, but I'm assuming he's doing it because he needs the work. It isn't like he is a huge draw now on the indies so how else is he going to draw a crowd? The Dynamic Dudes reunion is now off the table and that guy in WWE is stealing his Dean Douglas gimmick.
He probably knows better than what he said, but had to go "pro wrestling" to promote the reunion show.
