If you guys are still doing that thing where you review a wrestler? any chance you could review Takao Ōmori? I watched the 96 Royal Rumble and say him in it and just wanted to know if he was prominent in Japan for WWE TO BRING HIM IN FOR THE RUMBLE

If you guys are still doing that thing where you review a wrestler? Yes. No. Maybe. When there's a slow month we'll bring it back for sure. Hey in the meantime, as an added bonus, I'm hopefully going to be chatting with Rocky Romero for a bit this week. If anyone has any questions about Rocky's Time in Japan in particular, let me know.

New show at the end of the week, get your questions in. We're trying to expand our scope to talk about a lot more than just new Japan this year, as a result there's a lot to discuss without waiting for New Beginning. We may do a separate short recap show to cover the Sendai and Osaka events on the 11th and 14th.

Kelvin Bello from new Jersey Hey WH and Chris I'm a huge fan and anxiously wait every month to hear from you guys. I have a question well 2 actually first the "sponsors" who take the wrestlers out..what actually do they do as far as sponsoring is concerned. And also does njpw have a wellness program? Like how are drugs viewed like weed or pain pills. Thanks for answering and the great show you guys always put out.

Andrew from New Zealand here.Really enjoy hearing your podcast each month and thank for reading my thoughts post Wrestle Kingdom. I have two questions for you my 1st one is What do you think the long term plan is with Okada .I did ask initially after Wrestle Kingdom if it was time to split him from Chaos possibly to form a faction of his own .Do you think this could happen or that Okada just splits away from Chaos to concentrate on getting back in IWGP title contention. My other question is with the Suzuki-gun invasion of NOAH angle do we get one or more NOAH wrestlers appearing in this years G1 or Super Juniors ?

Matt from Virginia here. Loving the podcasts. Keep up the great work. You guys have made it possible for me to really enjoy wrestling in a language I don't understand. Your insights and discussions are an essential part of my enjoyment of NJPW this past year. I subscribed to NJ World and listening to you guys are a perfect companion to world. I also love the tidbits you give us of Japanese culture. Question: I was recently watching a match between Misawa and Chono from 2002 show at the Tokyo dome on World. The crowd reactions and overall feel of the match reminded me of Hogan Vs. Rock from Wrestlemania in a way. I have never heard such a loud Japanese crowd. Is that a fair comparison? Any thoughts on this match you have would be appreciated. Also do you think we may start seeing some NOAH on World in the future (I think it would be smart to diversify the service as much as possible)? Thanks guys.

Watching the New Beginning card on world, the Conway vs Tenzan the commentator ''Hey, Hey you NOOOOOO' with the belt shot and 'Headbutt.... Goodbye' were the best pieces of commentary I've ever heard! hahaha

Chris in Ottawa,
Hi Chris and WH,
I was hoping you might be able to talk about @puro_yottsume and PuroresuShop.com, a great thing that apparently is no more. What do you guys know about his status and that of his seemingly short-lived business? Did all the attention it got because of Wrestle Kingdom 9 overwhelm him with demand and freak him out?
Also, do you know of any way to get New Japan merch to North America in a reasonable and relatively cost-effective fashion? I should've gotten that Tana Acefull hoodie when I had the chance.
Thanks, Chris

Big show tomorrow to discuss NJCup, NOAH, DG, Stardoms, and more, potentially including a top ten foreigners in NJPW discussion since me and WH are arguing at the moment. Note, assessed on importance *not* ability. I choose Hansen Tiger Jeet Singh Gotch Hogan Vader Marc Rocco/Black Tiger Guerrero Lesnar Devitt Brody
WH has: Gotch, Robinson, Hansen, Hogan, Vader, Rocco, Benoit, Machine Gun, Norton, Devitt Your picks?

Wassup fellas.
Few questions
1. Has Kota Ibushi expressed a love for Hayabusa while growing up? Just thinking about the number of moves he uses that Hayabusa used. 450, Phoenix Splash, Triangle Moonsault to the outside.
2. This is random, but how popular is Sumo wrestling these days? I know traditionally it was one of the more popular sports in Japan but do people still give a damn about it? I might try to get into it this year just to try something different.

Gents,
As for my New Japan Cup prediction, I'll go with Ibushi winning, challenging and defeating Nakamura at Invasion attack
I didn't get into Japanese wrestling until about 4 years ago and missed the greatness that was the era of Kobashi, Misawa, Akiyama, and others. Can you recommend some specific matches I should check out. I'll apologize in advance if this question has been asked numerous times before

I enjoyed that discussion from this month's show.
How about this as a topic for discussion next month.
Who are the most influential Japanese wrestlers of all time. Top 10. Maybe ranking them in terms of POSITIVE influence over the business.

Hi guys. I was told you both live in Japan. 2 friends and I are looking to go to Tokyo in August, and - among other things - attend one of the final 3 G1 shows. I am wondering what the chances are to get tickets at the door? Also, I heard rumors about an English NJPW ticket shop, but we're not able to find it. Directions, anyone? Does the week prior to G1 finals usually see a lot of other wrestling shows?
