Not really a good edition of SD! tonight TBH. It was like WWE wanted to have another edition of Retro RAW like they did in Nov of 2010, but were too lazy to fully set it up so they had older stars from the Golden Era make cameos on SD instead. Every time WWE promotes a Live SD! it never goes well, because they never promote it like its a big deal and their live SD shows are always promoted with some other presence that distracts from the SD Roster (Old stars being on WWE, Top RAW main eventers being SD, etc.). Not a bad show. Full of a few laughs and decent wrestling, but nothing of significant importance happened to enhance any feuds/programs.
SD will always be a "B-Show" if its treated as such.

If Kane is a sucker for family reunions, then I'm a sucker for actually sitting through this show. More time was spent showing replays than on actual action. I realized there is a reason I rarely watch Smackdown... anything important with the Smackdown roster is done on Raw, and everything on Smackdown is just a rehash. Everything feels so stale. You guys were talking about how Sheamus is the coldest champion in a long time.
I couldn't agree with you more. If Bryan loses to him twice at Extreme Rules, I will have zero reason to watch Smackdown.
Back to tonight's show... with Foley being there, I was hoping for an Ambrose confrontation but no dice there. My favorite part of the show was Mean Gene. Between him using his promo voice to talk to Sheamus and cowering in the corner from the heels, he was awesome.
Overall, two thumbs down. It was clear the writers already checked out and were ready to be on the plane to Europe.

I live thirty minutes from the Hampton Coliseum and am glad I didn't waste my hard earned money on this horrible show! I don't blame the crowd for being dead because if I was there I would have fallen asleep as well. This show gets a solid 0 out of ten!

Thumbs middle show only because the legends tie in. For a second I got really excited seeing jimmy hart back, as I really dont get why they aren't using legends as managers, of course he was only there for the writers to make a lame comedic gag. Crowd was mildly into Brian but its looking more and more like the miami crowd was just a perfect storm for Brian. I am actually liking the Ryback gimmick and enjoy the "jobber" squashes, he's like Goldberg 2.0
Finally as big of fan of the Fink as I am fuck they need to send him to the fat camp they used to send Yoko to. the Fink looks like a he's walking around in one of those inflatable sumo suits.

What an awful, stupid and boring show. Why does WWE insist on making their live SmackDown shows so terrible? They should work to make these live opportunities a big deal.
SmackDown didn't even sound the same without the infamous SmackDown pop added in post-production. The Piper's Pit segment was the most entertaining thing but next week it will be forgotten so what did it really accomplish? That Bryan can one-up an old man? Way to B.A.Star.
The one standout of this show was Johnny Ace now has a commemorative display featuring the KFC/Brother Love suit he wore at Mania with the date of the event as part of the wall decorations in his office.

Matt Guy- I thought the only good thing about the show was pipers pit, everything else was a little lack luster, i see aj swerving all of us and helping daniel bryan danielson (yes thats what i call him) either win or almost win the title. Mean Gene needs to stay off tv im srry, im a huge fan of him but if there another person that was less convincing then sheamus and mean gene i didnt see him

It was okay. I actually thought it was a somewhat fun show to watch. Aside from the Brock and CM Punk segments, I thought it was just as good or maybe better than Raw.
A.J.'s and the Bella Twins' asses looked great, and upped the rating I'd give the show. And Damien Sandow will be a huge star. The biggest disappointment for me was the continuation of the horrendous Randy Orton and Kane feud.

I have been a fan of the WWF/E since about 1987, I get really nostalgic whenever they bring back some of the Legends from the "Good Old Days", but it really seems like the crowd was again pretty dead for this show, I mean its Rowdy Roddy Piper, yet they just didn't seem to be really into it.
I enjoyed the Daniel Bryan on Piper's Pit segment, his heel persona is second only to Jericho right now in my opinion, I really hope we see more "Yes! Yes! Yes!" shirts in the crowd soon.
Rest of the show was largely forgettable, it was good for a trip down memory lane, but not much more.

I was really looking forward to this "Blast From the Past" show only to be let down, but I did like a few things.
Seeing Mean Gene Okerlund, Jimmy Hart, and Rowdy Roddy Piper on the same show was nice.
Kane laying out Cowboy Bob Orton was the first thing that has made any sense since his masked return.
Is it my imagination or is this Ryback gimmick the newest ripoff of Goldberg when he started in WCW?
Piper's Pit was the highlight of the show for me along with the beat down that Cole got at the end of the show from the Legends.
Overall show was a 5 out of 10.
Thank you Wai and John! I love the new board as I am not a Facebook guy.
